My journey
For years I worked in marketing: good salary, nice colleagues, a career that looked fine from the outside.
And I was fine. Mostly. I showed up, performed, handled client pressure. But underneath there was always this hum. anxiety, hypervigilance, a body that never really switched off. I just didn't have the words for it yet.
I tried therapy. Psychologists. Different approaches. Things helped a little, but something was still missing. I couldn't quite land in myself.
After 7 years, I quit. Not because I crashed, but because I needed to find a way to actually feel at ease in my own body. That was the only thing I was looking for.
That brought me to yoga, to an ashram in India, to teaching retreats in Portugal. Beautiful experiences. But honestly, still dysregulated, even surrounded by nature and silence.
Then I discovered Somatic Experiencing. And that was the real turning point.
The breakthrough
Somatic Experiencing is a powerful therapy that helped me understand why my nervous system had been in survival mode for so long. For the first time I had concrete tools to feel when my system was activated and how to regulate myself again.
This insight was transforming: I learned that there was nothing wrong with me, my system was just doing what it had learned to be safe. Slowly I began to experience what it feels like to be in my body without constant vigilance. My breath became deeper, my muscles relaxed, and I could enjoy simple moments again.
Ready for your journey?
Now it's my mission to help others find this too. Not because it's a nice story, but because I know how long it can take to find the right approach, and how exhausting it is to keep going while something inside doesn't feel right.
If any of this sounds familiar, have a look at what I do or just reach out. I'm happy to talk.
